Leesa Sklover Sangeet
Sangeet-Leesa Sklover, Ph.D., LPC, CMT, IKYTA, H.ct is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher trained with Gurmukh of Golden Bridge Yoga, NYC and LA. She has been in the music business as singer songwriter performer since she performed “at a pow wow at age four. she studied theatre/film at northwestern, worked in, film music and music video production at Mca, and Burbank studios, LA. She first performed with her own bands in ny and la,( black and Blonde) an off broadway musical she wrote and performed in. Creator of 5 cds, She has been composing healing music as a music therapist, sound healer for over 20 years. As part of her doctoral research she studied the healing power of music and the brain, and ways to heal the neurologically impaired. Now also working as research and special projects director for the cetacean society with the hopes of researching the communication of whales and dolphins in the wild. a practicing yogi of many forms for years, but it was 1o years ago when she found anne novak –kundalini yoga teacher, that she fell in love with the use of chant and the power behind the Kundalini Practice. This led to a love for the chants in this tradition and a desire to become a teacher. Working in a planetree hospital and adolescent treatment program using KundaliniYoga and chants to heal in private practice she offers ,Yoga Therapy, Individual Counseling, Relationship Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Music therapy, imagery and energy healing and teaches yoga classes. She worked at Canyon Ranch Spa for 12 years bringing music and sound therapy to the spa industry. Her music today is focused on Kundalini chants and environmental folk/rock. She performs her sacred music in various venues, live in class and in her yogasong and dreamsculpting workshops.
