Nam Deva

Nam Deva is a musical trio that came together through a series of fateful encounters that were driven by their mutual love for music and the Shabad Guru. The group consists of Charansev Kaur, Dass Amrit Kaur, and Nicolás, who all crossed paths at various stages of their lives. Dass Amrit Kaur and Nicolás first met in 2001 when she gave him his first music classes. Nicolás was only four years old at the time. Years later in 2013, Charansev Kaur and Nicolás’ mother attended the Kundalini Yoga teacher training together and that's when Charansev and Nicolás first met. They began playing music together at yoga festivals and other events. The final piece of the puzzle came in 2015 when Dass Amrit Kaur returned to Chile after several years living in the Netherlands and started practicing Kundalini Yoga with Charansev Kaur as her teacher. It was at this point that Guru ji brought them all together to create Nam Deva. The group began rehearsing and composing music together, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Guru Nanak, the first Guru of the Sikhs, to whom they dedicated their first album. Through their shared love for the Shabad Guru, an intimate friendship was born, a friendship that seems to date back many lifetimes and is guided by service and devotion. Nam Deva's music style is a unique blend of Western and Keertan styles, which creates a beautiful and captivating sound that touches the hearts of all those who hear it. With their devotion to the Shabad Guru and their commitment to serving humanity, Nam Deva's music is truly a gift to the world.
