Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa (Espanola)
Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa's Musical Affirmations Collection, which features classics such as "Every Heartbeat" and "God is Within Me," is a notable contribution to the 3HO and Sikh Dharma musical world. This album is still used worldwide for White Tantric Yoga. The album features traditional chants enhanced with English lyrics written by Yogi Ji, the master of white tantric yoga and Kundalini Yoga. The lyrics contain the essence of the ancient chants and, together, the two languages create a powerful synergy. The soothing voice of Nirinjan Kaur and beautiful lyrics provide a sense of relief from worldly worries. Invincible Music states that "Every Heartbeat" heals mental pain by giving hope and a deep understanding of spiritual truth. "God is Within Me" is perfect as background music or for meditation. Guru Prem Singh, who worked with Nirinjan Kaur to create this album, mentioned in an interview with Beads of Truth magazine that he began making Gurbani tapes in 1985 as a hobby. He started by making a Guru Ram Das chant with SS Ram Das Kaur. With time, he started accumulating equipment and his studio became more elaborate. In 1985, he made more sophisticated Gurbani tapes with Jaspal Singh. The recording process evolved gradually, and his first assignment from the Siri Singh Sahib was the Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo mantra that he gave to Nirinjan Kaur. This mantra is the opening track on the album Meditations for the Aquarian Age. The album is available for purchase through Invincible Music and can be downloaded through Sat Nam Versand in Europe. Additionally, "God is Within Me" and "Every Heartbeat" can be streamed online through SikhNet. This album is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional chants and experience the powerful synergy created by the combination of Punjabi and English lyrics.
